Joiyin helps people meet through real-world activities. Post something you want to do, or join something happening nearby. The app gets you to the activity; the rest happens in person.

Why We Built It
Most social apps are built to keep you scrolling. Joiyin is built for the opposite.
The connections that stick usually start with doing something together — coffee, a walk, pickup sports, whatever — not with weeks of messaging or judging someone from a photo. That holds whether you want friends, an activity partner, or something that might turn into more.
We wanted an app that makes showing up feel normal again.
Not a Dating App
Joiyin is built around activities, not attraction feeds. Post or join something you’d actually want to do — a walk, coffee, pickup hockey — and meet people in that context.
We’re not trying to be a swipe app with a calendar. Romance can grow from shared doing; so can friendship, or just a good afternoon with strangers who showed up for the same thing. The app doesn’t pick which outcome you should want. It gets you to the meetup.
What We Care About
Activities first
When we design a feature, we ask whether it helps people meet in the real world or keeps them on the screen.
Low pressure
Browse without committing. Join when something looks good. Leave if it doesn’t. Small groups are fine. RSVPs aren’t the center of the experience.
Privacy
No profile photos. Activity chat that expires. We don’t sell your data — no mining, no targeted ads, no broker deals.
Showing up matters
Trust in the community comes from attending things and being reliable — not from follower counts.
